How Do I Know if My Charger is Recalled?

Look at the label on the back of your charger. If it reads "Model: E33A," it is included in this recall. Model E33A was sold in four colors: Melon (BL354CH), Black (BL913CH), Lavender (LA291CH), and White (WH871CH). Only Model E33A is included in this recall.

Hazard: The lithium-ion battery in the recalled charger power banks can overheat and ignite, posing a risk of serious injury or death from fire and burn hazards.

What Do You Need to Register?

1. You will need to have with you when you register:

a. Your portable charger.

b. Permanent Marker.

c. Smartphone with camera.

How Do You Register?

1. Using a permanent marker, you must write on the front of the power charger:

a. Your initials.

b. The registration date.

c. The word “RECALLED”.

2. Take a clear photo of the front of the charger with the above markings.

3. Next, take a clear photo of the model number and details on the back of the portablecharger (it should read “Model: E33A”). The photo should be clear enough to read.

If you do not follow these instructions, your registration will not be approved.

4.Do not dispose of your portable charger until you receive an email confirming that your registration has been accepted and was successful. You may be asked to return the portable charger.

5.After your registration is confirmed, you will be provided with an email telling you that your registration was successful and that email will include directions on how to dispose of your portable charger. Because this is a lithium-ion battery, do not put it in the trash or in curbside or store battery-recycling bins. Take it to a household hazardous waste (HHW) collection center, and call ahead to confirm the center accepts recalled lithium-ion batteries. If it does not, contact your municipality for guidance.
